I am Goofy because of God's Grace

The first time I experienced a grape being squirted in my face was both shocking and amazing. Shocking: I didn't know it was possible to use a grape to squirt my siblings. When my older sister, Kendra, said she wanted to show me something, I turned and was hit with a slight spray of grape juice from her mouth. She laughed. Whoa! Amazing: Kendra showed me where to bite down on the grape for it to spray. As a 12-year-old, I could eat the grapes, but squirting my siblings with the fruit was way more fun and a game changer.
I discovered the Lord's grace was a game changer, too. I was a human being who made mistakes, made terrible choices, said the wrong words, and had incriminating thoughts. I deserved a harsh reprimand if not a punishment. Shocking: despite what I thought, the Lord sprayed me with His grace and mercy like my sister did with a grape. His grace is not dependent on me and my deeds, but fully dependent on who He is. Amazing: I can be goofy even when I flub up because the Lord heaps on me grace upon grace. All I have to do is receive and let go of the mindset I have to do specific work and look a specific way.
